CRITICAL FUNCTIONS and DUTIES: Prepare shipments for postal or commercial conveyance;determine most efficient shipping method; select appropriateshipping container; pack items to ensure safe delivery. Prepare bills of lading; check items to be shipped againstwork orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, androuting are correct. Receive and unload incoming materials and compares informationon packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy ofshipment. Sort, count, package, label, insure, unpack, and/or logsinventory which is shipped or received.
