Description JOB SUMMARY: Plans, organizes, and directs the day to day operations of the nursing staff in a given unit including staff supervision and communications with physicians and internal administrators to provide optimal patient care. Performs other related duties as required. Works with all new surgical practices to create an environment for growth of service. Work with the director to control cost and spend. Collaborate closely with Materials Management on reduction of supply costs. Continually work to decrease inventory and to reduce expired supplies. Champion recycling and reprocessing ventures. Continue education on the Pledge, and holding staff accountable to the Pledge. Holds staff accountable for creating a welcoming, quiet, family centered environment. Oversight for TJC operational issues and education with Director. Champion and super user-Cerner. Liaison for the new product group with Director.
