New York City office of our client seeks intellectual property/patent prosecution attorney with 2-8 yrs of background in patent law, with substantial background in patent preparation, patent prosecution, and patent counseling. The applicant will serve in all phases of a sophisticated intellectual property practice but will focus largely on patents: patent drafting and prosecution, global patent portfolio management, freedom-to-operate analysis (non-infringement/invalidity analysis), patent enforcement counseling, and portfolio analysis for a broad range of innovators. Background with patent litigation, trademark law, copyright, and trade secret is an advantage. Should preferably have mechanical and materials technologies; medical device background and exposure to electronics. Registration to practice before U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
