Entry Level Purchasing Assistant - (Brooklyn, NY)

Rapidly growing organization is looking to add to staff. We are the purchasing company for a group of nursing homes in the tri state area and are looking to hire a purchasing assistant - assignments include: Assignments include: -Ensure all orders are confirmed with a written purchase order. -Ensure all purchase orders are properly prepared, signed, and submitted as required in procurement policies and procedures. -Assist in preparing correspondence and claims concerning damaged merchandise, errors in shipment, etc., and return to vendor, as required. -Prepare product comparison for quality and costs. -Ensure various departments are properly charged with supplies they have received for cost allocation purposes. -Fill requisitions from departments for routine supplies and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures. Follow up with vendors if supplies not delivered as promised.
