Pd Furniture Processor (Full Time 40 hours) - (South Bend, IN)

To sort, process, inspect and price furniture donations and merchandise for sale in our Plant (Western Avenue) store. Occasionally, he will be called upon to process furniture for outlying stores. Position reports to the Production Supervisor. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Sort furniture donations. 2. Differentiate between saleable items and junk and properly dispose of the latter. 3. Move furniture items to the store for sale as requested. 4. Determine correct price for all furniture items. 5. Attach price tags with proper price. 6. Keep daily inventory sheet showing number of items of each price. 7. Maintain good housekeeping and abide by safety regulations. 8. Place salvage-grade furniture in its proper place; (staging area for pick-up by dealer or metal trailer). OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Other tasks as assigned. 2. Cooperate with and support Team Leader(s). 3. Minor repairs of furniture and gas powered donations; (e.g. lawnmowers, snow throwers). SPECIFICATIONS:
