Water Fitness Instructor - (Davenport, IA)

The Water Fitness Instructor is responsible for conducting water fitness classes using Scott County Family Y standards and the standards of other water fitness certification agencies if needed. The Water Fitness Instructor will ensure the safety of participants at all times by communicating the risks of any fitness program to participants and preventing injuries by minimizing or eliminating hazardous situations or behaviors. REQUIRED FUNCTIONS: 1. Serve as a role model to members and YMCA Staff. Lives the mission, vision, and values of the YMCA Movement. 2. Facilitate and execute quality water fitness programs. 3. Prevent injuries by communicating the risks of any fitness program to participants. 4. Assist lifeguards with aquatic and medical emergencies as able, including administration of CPR/AED/FA. 5. Maintain a clean and clutter-free aquatic facility. 6. Inspect the facility and water fitness equipment daily and reports any unsafe conditions or broken equipment to the Program Director.
