SHIFT: 8-hour days, occasional and 1 weekend per month. CRITICAL SKILLS: Bachelor of Science Degree and a passing a national exam given by the Board of Registry of the American Society for Clinical Pathology (MT Certified) with 1 year of background, or Associates of Science (MLT Certified) with 3 years of background. Must be detail oriented, possess strong analytical abilities and operate independently. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field. Evaluation and analysis of clinical specimen cultures. Prepare and interpret direct specimen stains, including Gram Stains. Perform and evaluate results of numerous rapid direct specimen assays.
