General Maintenance Worker II (Exterior) - (Chicago, IL)

This is general maintenance work at the fully skilled level. * Maintains, repairs, or replaces, as necessary, concrete curbs and gutters, concrete slabs and sidewalks, asphalt pavements, fencing, hand rails, storm drainage inlets, storm drainage pipes and outfalls, and masonry walls - Performs roof repairs, sports field repairs, folding bleacher and grandstand repairs - Skill in using the tools, equipment and materials of the exterior general maintenance trade - Knowledge of the hazards of general maintenance trade work and safety precautions required - Routinely performs tree pruning or tree removal, landscaping repairs, grading, trenching, snow removal and other work using heavy equipment - Performs basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry repairs - May lead a team of maintenance workers - Must poses a valid driver's license - Current expertise of the methods and procedures of general maintenance trade work - Performs related work as required
