SENIOR ACQUISITION SPECIALIST (Job Opening ID #510738) Two full time positions availablewith KCMO’s LawDepartment, Corporate Litigation Division and Litigation Division, 414 E. 12 th St.Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm Handles cases involving torts, contracts, tax, constitutional claims, employment discrimination and other civil rights claims. Frequently appears in court, including serving as 1st chair in jury and bench trials before state and federal courts. Responsible for his or her own cases from the initial filing of the petition or complaint, through the appellate process. Provides advice to the Mayor, City Council, City boards and commissions, and professional staff. Opportunity for career advancement and to handle more complex litigation as more background is gained.
