Staff Accountant Location: Stockton, CA Direct Hire Opportunity We are currently recruiting for a Staff Accountant for a client in the Stockton area. The Senior Accountant is responsible for completion and maintenance of general ledgers and financial reports and perform a broad variety of other accounting functions. Responsibilities * Prepare journal entries, perform bank reconciliations, record monthly depreciation, and other analysis to complete the monthly financial statements. * Reconcile various Balance Sheet accounts due each month before Controller and CFO review. * Prepare governmental returns including property taxes, excise taxes and other governmental required filings. * Prepare and audit hourly payroll for processing every other week. * Reconcile inventory balances for all companies on a weekly basis. * Participate in the physical inventory count process, including reconciliation to the perpetual inventory listings and document all material variances to the Controller.
