Account manager - (Columbia, MD)

As an Account Manager you will manage client accounts by: researching, analyzing, and evaluating fully and self-funded medical plans; along with dental, life, and disability plans for more than 50+ employees. This job mandates a high-level of independent thinking and that the Account Manager exercises judgement in knowing when to ask for assistance. Responsibilities: Assist in gathering, preparing, entering and analyzing data using Ms excel spreadsheets to be used for various client projects. This role requires an increased focus on analysis and managing portions of projects. Gather benchmarking, utilization or rate data from the vendors via a Request for Proposal (RFP); interpret the meaning of data and summarize the responses from the RFP in Ms excel or PowerPoint format for presentation to the client. Understand vendor/carrier markets, more advanced underwriting and Health & Benefit products, services, and technical tools.
