You could be the mid-career engineer/physicist we are seeking to lead HV research and the operation of the Sandia Lightning and Electromagnetic Environment Simulators, 2 major environmental test facilities. This position mandates utilization and knowledge of fundamental theory and, practices for HV and electromagnetic sciences. On any given day, you may be called on to: * Partner with HV experts to grow and lead research in HV sciences. * Support the creation, design, execution, and analysis of high voltage and electromagnetic experiments * Maintain and operate the 2 simulators and ancillary systems * Provide oversight for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing high-voltage, high-energy pulsed systems, a laser triggering system
