Mechanical project engineer - (Bensenville, IL)

Job duties 80% of the role will consist of design and develop new products from concept to full implementation 20% of the role will consist of creation Bill of Materials, engineering drawings, and manufacturing instructions Develop cost estimates and design models for proposed new products Work with Engineering and Manufacturing to improve product design and manufacturing in regards to quality, cost, and throughput Develop and negotiate with outside vendors to improve purchase part performance and cost Learn detailed technical details for existing/new products in order to provide outstanding customer support in the application and maintenance of complete product line Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering 5-10yrs' new product development design background Experience designing structural frames and mechanical drive systems (ie heavy mechanical systems) 3D CAD proficiency (Inventor/Solidworks) Knowledge of welding processes and design Basic electrical knowledge
