Associate Scientist/Postdoctoral Researcher Position Available - (Santa Barbara, CA)

Vascular Biosciences is seeking a postdoctoral scientist to contribute to a NIH-funded project focusing on developing a novel targeting peptide for clinical translation in collaboration with scientists at UCSB and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. The postdoctoral scientist will be responsible for drug development, IND-enabling studies, analysis of PK/PD results, FDA regulatory requirements. Min requirements: PhD in biological sciences, chemistry or related field. The ideal applicant will have knowledge/experience to support the tasks described above. Nanoparticle - peptide conjugation, liposome - peptide conjugation, successful grant writing experience a plus. Initial term of employment will be 2 yrs, with the possibility of subsequent promotion or extension based on performance and the availability of funding.
