Maintenance Worker - (New York, NY)

MAJOR FUNCTIONS: Maintenance Worker is responsible for all custodial work as well as repairs, safety code and emergency situations throughout the facility. S/he is responsible for daily cleaning and minor repairs. SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Responsible for emergency and minor repairs to be completed in a timely fashion 2. Responsible for responding to resident work orders in a timely fashion 3. Responsible for ensuring that apartments/bedrooms, cleanliness and functionality inspection prior to arrival of new residents 4. Assist Maintenance Worker I when needed 5. Painting of facility, both inside and out 6. Drywall repairs and spackling/compound 7. Assisting the Program Director / Facility Manager, responsible for compliance with State and OMH Regulations, Codes and Standards 8. Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings 9. Attend all required in-service training seminars 10. Meet monthly for supervision with Program Director 11. Attend monthly maintenance meeting
