Maintenance Mechanic - (Coral Gables, FL)

This person will be responsible for maintenance and upkeep of Wellness Center, repairs and maintenance of fitness equipment, and backup support for upkeep of the outdoor facilities. Shared responsibility with regard to preventative maintenance of all Wellness Center mechanical operating systems. Job assignments and Responsibilities * Comply with all Policies and Procedures of the University of Miami. Adheres to all safety and environmental regulations. * Keep thorough and up to date records on activities in all areas of responsibility. * Request training as needed in the areas of responsibility. * Keep to schedule and aid in the development of efficient task/project planning. * Perform routine building inspection; take corrective action; and/or report regularly to the associate director any deficiencies or required action in area of responsibility. * On the alert for any deficiencies, i.e., economic, safety, regulatory, energy conservation, and reports those to the associate director.
