Recreation Specialist - Atletics - (Pearland, TX)

POSITION SUMMARY The purpose of this class within the organization is to implement and coordinate recreational programs, classes, activities, and events to promote health and fitness throughout the community. This class works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences. Required functions Designs, organizes, schedules and evaluates athletic programs; meets the needs and interest of target market and ensure delivery in a safe and quality manner. Operates and maintains registration system details. Researches new recreation programs and activities. Creates and maintains working relationships with local business, vendors and other organizations throughout the year. Additional Duties : Hires, trains, coaches, disciplines, advises and evaluates athletic field attendants. Implements and directs coaching development. Ensures safety of participants during events by inspecting site before/during and maintaining active CPR/1st Aid/AED certifications.
