Research istant Job - (Urbana, IL)

A Full-time Research hourly position is available at the University of Illinois? Energy Farm (4110 S Race St in Urbana). This position provides support for research on plant breeding and genetics of perennial grasses, especially bioenergy crops such as Miscanthus. ignments include preparation for and execution of experiments, including planting, growing plants in the field and greenhouse, propagating plants in preparation for field trials, planting the field trials in the spring, collecting data in the field, greenhouse and growth chamber, isting graduate students, making crosses, processing seed, maintaining inventories, and harvesting seed and biomass samples. The work will be conducted in the field, greenhouse, laboratory and office. The position will be based at the Energy Farm. Your own automobile for transportation to the job site is required. Some campus greenhouse work will also be conducted. The applicant will be expected to work 40 hours per week. A farm background is desirable but not required.
