Postdoctoral Associate (Alzheimer and Genomics Research) - (Miami, FL)

About These Positions Postdoctoral positions - Alzheimer Disease and Genomics - John P. Hussman Institute for Human Genomics at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. The Hussman Institute for Human Genomics (HIHG) at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine is a leading center for the study of Alzheimer disease (AD) and other neurodegenerative disorders. Investigators at the HIHG have conducted numerous genetic studies in patients from diverse ethnic and racial backgrounds to understand the genetic underpinnings of complex disorders. Ongoing efforts are under way to understand the impact that specific genes and genetic variants have on AD disease pathology. The research uses novel functional genomics and disease modeling approaches with the goal of bridging the gap between genomics and drug discovery. Other duties will include participating in project planning, grant and manuscript writing, and the mentoring of more junior members of the laboratory.
