About These Positions The Bascom-Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, is searching for 2 highly-motivated Postdoctoral Associates with strong research background in molecular/cellular biology and animal research for biological drug discovery and development. These positions are part of a new NIH-funded project to develop novel drug therapies. Research will focus on developing next-generation targeted anti-angiogenic therapies for various vascular diseases. The laboratory recently developed the only technology of ligandomics with broad applicability to discover high quality drug targets for novel therapies of different diseases, including but not limited to angiogenic diseases (PMID: 29326083). Using this powerful technology, we discovered highly promising drugs target and developed next-generation targeted anti-angiogenic therapies (PMID: 28330905). This project will investigate drug applicants in various stages.
