Required responsibilities You will be performing research that directly supports the development of new, cutting edge, magnetic material technologies meeting product specific design qualifications. You will be working in a world class research facility operating equipment, working with other lab functions as needed, and developing structure-processing-property relationships on a broad spectrum of magnetic materials. You will Perform research for the application and design of magnetic materials to power conversion and control, next-generation high-power-density electrical systems, sensors, power electronics, magnetic bearings and electric drives Develop structure-processing-property relationships on a broad spectrum of magnetic materials. Perform research in alloy design, synthesis, property development and characterization of magnetic materials Work with vendors and collaborators to develop material processes.
