Structural CAD Technician - (Monroe, MI)

The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. (MSG) a Civil Engineering and Environmental Consulting firm with an excellent reputation has an opening for a Structural CAD Technician to join our Monroe, Michigan-based bridge and structural engineering team. Applicants should have a higher level education in the field of computer aided drafting (CAD), background with MicroStation and AutoCAD, preferably in a transportation context, and strong expertise and understanding of structural detailing practice. Duties will include: Development of base sheets to be referenced for plan sheet development; developing and providing design layout of various bridge and structural plan sheets & conceptual design layouts under the supervision of a design engineer; perform field inspections; and expertise to provide logical document control using MSG standards for naming and filing. The applicant must be able to work well in a teaming environment, and also be able to produce desired deliverables individually.
