Overview The Environmental Geologist II (1) implements projects that involve a) the identification, assessment and investigation of sites where potential environmental releases of contaminants may have occurred, and b) assessment of site geologic characteristics in support of geotechnical or mine assessment studies; (2) evaluates chemical, physical and geological data derived from site investigation activities to aid in the determination of site geologic characteristics and site remediation alternatives; and (3) implements remedial strategies designed to address potential risks to human health and the environment resulting from the release of contaminants to the site.
