Registered Veterinary Technician. - (Pasadena, CA)

Currently seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician. Candidate should be a team member, detail oriented, multi-tasker, who loves animals, and handles them with a gentle hand. Background with dental cleanings and extractions preferred but not required. BASIC REQUIREMENTS: MUST have prior background performing veterinary technician duties, such as: Venipuncture and IV catheter placement. Administering medications (PO, SQ, IM, IV). Monitoring hospitalized pets. Strong understanding of computers/technology and the expertise to type. Strong surgical assisting skills. The schedule will include Saturdays. BASIC POSITION DETAILS (includes but is not limited to): Assisting doctors in rooms with clients Assisting doctors in the treatment room and surgical suite. Educating clients on optimal pet health care. Discharging hospitalized patients and going over take home instructions with clients. Basic cleaning and maintenance of the treatment room (restocking, sweeping, mopping etc.)
