Independence, Ohio 44131 Position description The Benefits Specialist is responsible for performing HR duties on a professional and confidential manner and works closely with management in supporting the enterprise. This position carries out responsibilities in the following areas: benefit administration, benefits policy implementation, qualifying event and open enrollment, and benefit plan selection and implementation, administration of ACA reporting, leave of absence administration and administration for ADA. Key functions * Provides details to employees concerning health insurance and other company benefits. * Responds to inquiries on insurance claims, appeals, and investigations and clarifies plan benefits and coverage details. * Audits carriers' records for errors and inconsistencies and directs corrections * Responsible for written notification and collection of past due insurance premiums from employees.
