Job Number: R0049322 Mechanical Engineer Key Role: Perform pressure vessel and system calculations based on national and industrial codes, including ASME Section VIII and ASME API-579/Fitness-for-Service assessments. Perform process hazard assessments, including leak before break, critical crack size, and brittle fracture susceptibility. Perform fracture mechanics analysis and remaining life assessments using NASGRO or VCESage software. Perform design basis calculations for pressure relief devices consistent with API-520/521. Assist with the performance of visual examinations of hazardous high-pressure ground support systems and pressure vessels of launch complexes and support facilities for in-service inspections. Review the completion and implementation of system additions and enhancements and make recommendations based on current industrial codes and standards.
