Tool & Die Maintenance Tech w/ Press Set-Up - 2nd Shift Support - (Indianapolis, IN)

SUMMARY Position is responsible for die maintenance and press setup by performing the following duties: --ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Able to setup a press and run as needed.-- Support production needs to meet customer schedules.Perform daily corrective and preventive die maintenance.Repair and optimize production tooling while attaining safety, quality and production goals.Plans the set-up and operation of all types of shop tools including:-- lathes, mills, grinders, etc. while considering the types of material, tolerances, types of cutting tools, lubricants, and machine feeds and speeds.Perform die repair, inspection, troubleshooting, and tooling machinery operation to ensure company and customer defect-free product.Disassembles tooling to be repaired or sharpened.-- Sharpen die sections and punches. --SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
