Nye County School District is seeking candidates who are qualified for the following position(s): Substitute Teacher (Southern Nye Schools) Location: Southern District Office Description: Substitute Teacher (Southern Nye Schools) Pahrump, Amargosa & Beatty Schools On-call Funding Source: General Fund Rate: $110 per day or $15.71 per hour Job Goal: To provide instruction in the classroom when teachers are absent for any of a variety of reasons. Requirements: - Must pass the NCSD Substitute Teacher Pre-Application Test (Please schedule a testing appointment by calling NCSD at 775-727-XXXX); - Must pass a reference check and drug and alcohol testing. - Must obtain a Substitute Teacher License from the Nevada Department of Education: Candidates must have 60 college credits to be eligible for a Certified Substitute Teacher license. Candidates who have not earned 60 college credits must have a HS diploma or equivalent to be eligible for an Emergency Substitute Teacher license.
