Job title : SSVF (Support Services for Veterans and Families) Housing Specialist Department: Human Services Supervisor: Director, Community Stabilization Services Position description The Housing Specialist is dedicated to working with all 3 components of the SSVF Program - rapid housing, re-housing within 90 days of losing housing, and housing stabilization and prevention. Develop relationships with landlords and property managers for permanent housing placement and retention. Work collaboratively on SSVF Team to achieve stated outcomes. Provide follow-up advocacy to landlords on behalf of SSVF participants, providing all necessary supports to prevent further loss of housing. This position employs a variety of evidence based interventions including motivational interviewing, harm reduction, relapse prevention and trauma informed care to provide client centered services to Veterans.
