Associate Editor Job DescriptionPacific Business News is looking for an Associate Editor toround out our editing team. This is the perfect job for a reporterwith a couple of years of background who is looking to move intothe editing ranks.The Associate Editor is a critical player in planning and producingthe weekly print product, and contributes to the weekly and dailypublishing cycles in multiple ways: helping plan and executespecial sections, copy editing, helping recruit and coordinate withfreelancers, and serving as a backup for Editor in Chief.He or she also works to effectively recraft PBN content for everyplatform and ensures thebest reporting efforts of the newsroom are put to their fullestuse.Duties Conceive, assign, edit and produce special publications andspecial sections. Conceive, assign, edit and produce other regular features inprint and on-line. Source and coordinate with freelancers to produce businessjournal stories and other content.
