Wheel production technician - polish - (Alsip, IL)

Essential Position responsibilities: 1. Determine sanding grit by the severity of the defect on the wheel 2. Sand all areas on wheel to remove nicks, gouges, machine lines etc., with appropriate grit paper 3. Load wheel for first Operation (Rough) and second Operation (Finish) 4. Place wheel from machine and place in rinse tank 5. Inspect the wheel after removal and buff to remove any potential defects that were not removed in the polishing machines 6. During final hand polishing use Yellow, White or Brown compound and Blue or White pad and polish wheel using a circular motion and spin wheel accordingly 7. Finish polishing with the White Compound and White pad 8. Rinse wheel and wipe off buffing compound, finish polishing and place in wash tank and let soak for five to 10 minutes 9.
