Tooling engineer , plastics injection molds solidworks - (Lake Forest, CA)

Fast paced, state of the art manufacturing facility utilizing large scale injection molding operations has immediate need for experienced Tooling Engineer with strong injection molding experience. Will manage all in-house injection mold tooling, plastic injection tool builds including, planning, design, and outsource manufacture in order to meet product specifications. Proven knowledge of best practice design, construction and operation of injection molds, manage all new injection mold tooling projects. Coordinate with other teammates as needed during mold qualification, sampling and final part approval. Expertise to quote large injection mold tooling projects. Involvement in troubleshooting issues with production molds. Work with external suppliers on tool management and repairs. Develop outside tooling sources as needed, coordinate mold design reviews with tool vendors, teammates and Design Engineering. Participate in internal mold design reviews with Design Engineering.
