About Our Job This Chief Security Officer position resides within theDepartment of General Services, whose mission is to be agile, efficient and effective in delivering services in an ever evolving environment. We provide quality, value-added support services to internal and external customers through our Security Office, Energy Office, Contracts Office, Central Services Office, Purchasing Division, and Facilities Management Division. This is no ordinary government job. As the City's Chief Security Officer this is an opportunity to strategically develop and implement the city's long-range security plans and policies. You will be responsible for envisioning, initiating and overseeing critical City security and safety projects that create and maintain a safe environment for employees and citizens in City facilities.
