Strategic Sourcing Buyer - (Concord, CA)

PURPOSE AND SCOPE: Responsible for executing strategies to support GMQ (Global Manufacturing Quality) North America Manufacturing Strategic Procurement organization objectives. Responsible for source development, supply strategy, negotiations, contracts, and supplier management for multiple commodities. Works with North America Plant Procurement, Quality Departments and regional GMQ Strategic Procurement organizations to ensure alignment of procurement strategy and processes. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Experienced professional with a full understanding of strategic procurement; expertise to resolves a wide spectrum of issues related to supplier management, selection/disengagement, pricing, quality and delivery. * Support development of global procurement strategy with the respective category directors in the matrix organization. * Implements procurement strategy in alignment with the Global Procurement Strategy.
