Assistant Director, Human Research Protection Program - (Pullman, WA)

The Washington State University (WSU) Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) within the Office of Research Assurances (ORA) is seeking an Assistant Director (AD). The AD will oversee a growing portfolio of human subject research activities, this growth is largely due to WSU s new Elson S. Floyd School of Medicine. The AD will ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations, laws, policies and recognized standards for the ethical conduct of research involving human subjects. The AD will lead all administrative, management, technical and operational functions of the Institutional Review Board (IRB), staff and committees within the program. The AD will identify broad objectives and mission statements to facilitate ethical human research, develop and administer relevant research compliance policies and procedures, monitor progress of all program metrics, and develop and implement training programs to ensure achievement of the HRPP s mission and University s objectives.
